Due to the nature of
ContactsLaw as a system built on a relational database with referential integrity, some records are difficult to remove once they have been used by dependant items. In particular, an
activity cannot be deleted once
timed fees or
fixed charges have been posted by it. This is due to the fact that the activities listing (as well as many components of the billing system) continue to reference the activity when determining how to group/classify/describe time/charges recorded against it.
You can always disable an activity that you no longer wish members to use, or restrict permission, however the option to delete an activity completely from the system is only available if there are no timed fees or fixed charges recorded against them; you can achieve this by deleting such charges or changing their activity, however this cannot be done once the charges have been billed.
